Today I wanted to do a post about some of the lovely small businesses I have discovered over the last year. As we have all moved to online shopping, I wanted to take the opportunity to find some small businesses to buy with and show my support, albeit in a small way, to their businesses. Letโs get started…..
Emma Warren Designs
I discovered Emma after I saw anpost on Facebook about a large online clothes retailer copying her designs and using them as their own! So many people had tagged her in the post and I took a look at her page and that was it, I was hooked! That was September last year and I have quickly got myself a collection of her jumpers and T-shirtโs. Iโm not going to count them as I will probably scare myself! Emma has a huge selection of super cute designs, bees, stars, dogs, flowers, pick n mix to name just a few! Emma makes to order in her studio to reduce waste. She recently had a sample and seconds sale which sold out in minutes ๐ณ. Check her out on Instagram @emmawarrendesign for her daily stories accompanied by her Doberman Bea or her website http://www.emmawarrendesign.co.uk ๐

Big Wild Thought
I discovered Big Wild Thought on Instagram last year as well. Again, counting the number of items I have acquired in only a few short months wouldnโt be a good idea! What can I say when I like something I like it…..in every style and colour ๐. Big Wild Thought is a small business based in Yorkshire and they embroider sweaters, T-shirtโs, hoodies and other accessories with the cutest little animal designs. There are so many to choose from, sloths to elephants to otters or narwhals to name just a few! They have even introduced me to animals I had never heard of, pangolins for example! On Christmas Day last year I wore one of their Christmas designs, an elephant dressed as a Santa Claus that I will definitely be bringing out again this year. They are also committed to helping the animals behind the pictures and give 10% of sales to wildlife charities. Check them out on Instagram @bigwildthought or their website http://www.bigwildthought.co.uk where you will also find their childrenโs range Little Wild Thought. ๐

Wild Fin
Wild Fin is a sustainable unisex clothing brand based in Hertfordshire that I discovered just before Christmas via Instagram. Currently I am only in possession of two lovely beanies (that I have lived in this winter) but I have my eye on some other bits when I take myself off my spending ban next month! There is a pale pink sweater calling my name that I think would be great for Spring, you canโt beat pastel colours at this time of year! Simone has just launched Wild Fins second collection which includes caps, tote bags and hoodies! 10% of sales go to ocean charities and after launching six months ago Wild Fin have donated over ยฃ1000 to these charities!! Wild Fin can be found on Instagram @wildfinclothing and their website is http://www.wildfin.co.uk ๐

Beau Tie UK
I think Emma at Beau Tie is my latest small business find and I discovered her after she did a collaboration with Emma Warren on some scrunchies that sold out within hours! To be honest I never thought I needed scrunchies until I missed out on those ones and found myself scrolling through Beau Tieโs Etsy page to find one to buy! Emma is now the leader of the scrunchie cult after pivoting her business when COVID hit last year and her menโs range of bow ties, pocket squares & ties was hit by the cancellation of weddings. There is also a range of dog bow ties and bandanas that Emma makes called Dog and Beau, is it extreme to get your dog a bow tie to match your scrunchie? Asking for a friend….check Beau Tie out on Instagram @beautieuk_ and Etsy at http://www.beautieuk.etsy.com ๐

Thanks for checking out my blog and I hope this has encouraged you to support some small businesses! Iโm sure I will find more soon as my online shopping habit continues and will need to do a part two to this blog! Thanks for reading.
